A row of suburban North Texas homes at dusk under a dramatic storm sky, outdoor air conditioning units visible beside them
Lewisville · Flower Mound · North DFW

Heating and air, built for Texas weather.

Brookfield repairs, replaces and maintains heating and air conditioning for homes and businesses across the north Dallas–Fort Worth suburbs — through hundred-degree Augusts, hard freezes, and the hailstorms in between.

  • Homes and businesses
  • Written prices before work
  • Hail damage documented
Who we work for

Houses and businesses, the same way.

The equipment differs; the approach does not. Diagnose, show you what we found, put the price in writing, then do the work.

Homes

Houses and townhomes across the north suburbs

Split systems and heat pumps, gas furnaces in attics and garages, and ductwork that has spent twenty Texas summers in a very hot attic. Repairs, replacements and seasonal service.

  • A real arrival window, told to you before you book.
  • Photographs of anything we say is wrong.
  • A straight answer on repair versus replace.

After a hailstorm

What hail actually does to an air conditioner.

North Texas sits in one of the most hail-prone parts of the country, and the outdoor unit is the part of your HVAC system that takes the hit. The damage is rarely dramatic. It is usually a coil that can no longer breathe.

Outdoor condenser coil with many fins flattened by hail, seen close up in raking light
Flattened fins after a spring storm — the unit still ran, but not well.
  1. Fins are flattened

The thin aluminium fins that shed heat get pressed together, closing the gaps air has to pass through.

  2. Airflow drops

Less air over the coil means less heat rejected, so pressures and temperatures inside the system rise.

  3. The system strains

It runs longer for less cooling and works its compressor harder — often without any obvious sign from inside the house.

What we do

Six kinds of work.

Repair

Not cooling, not heating, tripping, icing, leaking. Diagnosed by measurement and priced in writing before anything billable.

Replacement

Sized on a load calculation for the house or building, not copied from the old unit's label.

Hail inspections

Outdoor units and rooftop equipment inspected, photographed and described in writing after a storm.

How it works

Maintenance

Cooling in spring, heating in autumn. Coils, drains, electrical, refrigerant, and combustion on gas equipment.

Ducts & airflow

Leaking, crushed or undersized ductwork in hot attics, and the rooms that never catch up because of it.

Controls

Thermostats and zoning set up so the people using the building can actually operate them.

How a job runs

You decide at step three.

  1. Call or book

Tell us what the system is doing. You get an arrival window before you commit.

  2. We diagnose

Measurements, not guesses — and photographs of anything we say is wrong.

  3. Written price

Itemised, with options where they exist. Nothing billable until you agree.

  4. Done and checked

We re-measure, clean up, and leave a written record of what was done.

No numbers on this page

You will not find prices, "from" figures, savings percentages or equipment lifespans here. Each depends on the equipment and the building. Ask about your job and you get a real figure, in writing.

Questions

Asked often enough to answer here.

Hail just came through. Should I run my air conditioner?

If it runs normally and cools, usually yes. If you hear new rattling or scraping, the fan looks damaged, or the unit trips its breaker, switch it off and call. Either way, photograph the outdoor unit from all four sides before anything is touched, and keep the photos.

Can you tell me whether my insurance will pay for hail damage?

No. We do not interpret insurance policies or advise on claims. We inspect the equipment, photograph and describe the damage in writing, and explain what it needs to work properly. What your policy covers is between you and your insurer.

Do you work on businesses as well as homes?

Yes, equally. Houses and townhomes across Lewisville and Flower Mound, and offices, retail, restaurants and light industrial buildings, including rooftop units.

Will I get a written price before work starts?

Yes. Diagnostic first, then a written, itemised price, then your decision. Nothing billable beyond the diagnostic happens before you agree to it.

What does "Wall Coatings" in your name mean?

It is part of the business name, not a second trade. Brookfield is a heating and air conditioning contractor. We do not paint, coat or refinish walls.

Storm, breakdown, or just time for a service?

One call and you will know what happens next and roughly when.
